Offered in this listing are 5 -1980's race programs from now defunct MAYWOOD PARK. Check out the pics on these beauties from 1980-84. Maywood was a Chicago horsemen and fan-favorite track. Overall condition on them is very good with only minor ageing and yellowing but nothing serious. According to the standings during this time period, some of the drivers were Magee, Banks, Hostetler, Dolbee, Busse, Aptilon, Demers, Insko, Hamilton, Paisley, Hiteman, Mills, Leonard, Moore, Alessi, Brooks, Shetler, Curran, Marsh, Aubin, Farber, Kidwell, Hochstetler, Willis, Larsen, Schulfer, Pelling, Longo, Porcelli, Knox, Conley, Pletcher, Bird, and many more. The 1981 program had a nice NW race that featured Town Drunk and Brets Majesty- two pretty darn good racehorses!. The 1980 program featured good racehorses on the Chicago scene like, Chief Debonair, Corkey's Express, Hobo Brooke, Hunnert Bucks, Malice, Why Bill, Fly Fly Solly and so many more. And believe it or not, the purses back in 1980 were more than they are today!!! Yes, that was 44 years ago. Really good memories back then harness racing was thriving in the Windy City.
