Up in this listing are 5 racing programs from the now defunct Quad City Downs Raceway in Moline, Illinois. This listing contains two programs from 1981 and 1984 and the last one is from 1987. There is some writing inside of a few of them and yellowing age spots, but overall very good condition. One of the programs has a missing staple, but the program is complete and has all of the pages. Outside covers are all intact with minor corner wear and small tear, but overall very good throughout. Nice write-ups and newsworthy stories inside about many of the QCD horseman and families. Often times some of these horses and horseman used to ship to Chicago to race for bigger purses with their better stock. Most of them did well and soon after, made Chicago tracks their mainstay. Programs are filled with great Illinois based horses, drivers and trainers. A must have for QCD fans or just read over and cherish some of the good memories of when Illinois had great harness racing. Great programs to start a collection with as well. The Moline old-timers would surely get a kick out of seeing these! The QCD regulars back then were: Freese, Phillips, Magee, Duncan, Eddy, Kroninger, Fagan, Morgan, Van De Rostyne, Jacobs, Baker, Parker, Lance, Kurtzworth, Finn, Simmons, Lorance, Jatczak, Coleman, Vermett, Prevost, Searle, Robbins, Winemiller, Scholz, Bowermaster, Steinman, Blade, Peterson, Dempsey, Trone, Arrenholz, Schaefer, Saul, Walker, Schaut, and so many more.......Many of these guys went to Chicago and hit the bigtime!
